In order for our app to be as intuitive as possible, we needed it to be able to search for hardware mac addresses which is a 12 digit unique identifier for every piece of hardware. In the event one wants to pair an MV1 where there are multiple MV1 devices in close proximity, our app looks for the hardware mac address to pinpoint the user's MV1 of choice.
For this function to work, Android requires Location Services enabled. This was a change made by Android developers with the release of Android 6.0.
The customer's information is being used by virtue of requiring location services, but the process stops there as far as GHOST Vapes is concerned. We do not have any need for location data nor do we store, monitor or track any location data within the app or remotely
