If your MV1 is brand new and you're receiving a prompt on your app to reset your firmware, it's likely that you attempted to pair the MV1 before you turned the MV1 on. This sequence puts your MV1 in "bootloader mode." If you've managed to put your MV1 in "Bootloader Mode" manually, please follow these steps in order below. To save yourself time, do not transpose or skip steps. 


STEP 1

1. Open GHOST App
2. Click on mini MV1 icon in top left of the screen

3. Remove any MV1 devices present on this page (if none, disregard)

4. Force close the GHOST app

5. Reset your MV1 device by detaching the battery from MV1 chassis and re-attaching 


STEP 2

FOR ANDROID
(1) Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device
(2) Make sure "Location Services" is enabled on your phone settings for the GHOST app
(3) Turn on your MV1

  • If your MV1 is no longer displaying the flashing amber LED, no further steps are needed and you can follow the normal steps to pair >>> MV1: Pair to Smartphone
  • If amber LED is still flashing proceed to the next step

(4) Press and hold both the mode button and vape button on your MV1 at the same time until the LED lights flash from side to side (even if amber lights are flashing)
(5) You will receive a prompt on the app to Reset Firmware (stop holding the mode and vape buttons at this point)

(6) Press "Ok" on the app and the reset should complete in 60 seconds. The MV1 will shut down. 

(7) STOP On the next page, you will be asked to press and hold both buttons on your MV1 to complete the process. Disregard this. 

(8) Press and hold down the front mode button until LED turns on

(9) Press and hold both buttons on your MV1 to complete the process. 

(10) Once your app responds and begins the completion process, you can stop holding down the buttons on your MV1. Your app will indicate when it's complete. 



FOR iOS
(1) Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device
(2) Turn on your MV1

  • If your MV1 is no longer displaying the flashing amber LED, no further steps are needed and you can follow the normal steps to pair >>> MV1: Pair to Smartphone
  • If amber LED is still flashing proceed to the next step

(3) Press and hold both the mode button and vape button on your MV1 at the same time until the LED lights flash from side to side (even if amber lights are flashing)

(5) Press "Ok" on the app and the reset should complete in 60 seconds. The MV1 will shut down.
