Firmware reset was an option on a previous version of the app but is no longer available. However the reset can be done manually. The purpose of the firmware reset option was for certain instances when the MV1 would get stuck while updating (indicated by amber lights flashing side to side). This would happen when the phone and vape lost connection during an update.

If you're looking to reset firmware as a solution to an issue with your MV1, please do not do this. Before attempting this please send a support request to Customer Support and report the issues you're experiencing and a representative will provide the most efficient path to resolution >>> Create New Support Request

If your MV1 is brand new and you're receiving a prompt on your app to reset your firmware, it's likely that you attempted to pair the MV1 before you turned the MV1 on. This sequence puts your MV1 in "reset mode." If you've managed to put your MV1 in "Reset Mode" manually, please follow these steps in order below. To save yourself time, do not transpose or skip steps.

STEP 1

1. Delete/uninstall the GHOST App
2. Re-install GHOST app
3. Remove battery from MV1 and re-insert (this essentially resets the device)

STEP 2

FOR ANDROID
(1) Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device
(2) Enable "Location Services" on your phone settings for the GHOST app
(3) Turn on your MV1

  • If your MV1 is no longer displaying the flashing amber LED, no further steps are needed
  • If amber LED is still flashing proceed to the next step

(4) Press and hold both the mode button and vape button on your MV1 at the same time until the LED lights flash from side to side (even if amber lights are flashing)

(6) The reset should complete in 60 seconds

(7) On the next page, you will be asked to press and hold both buttons on your MV1 to complete the process

(8) The process should complete within 60 seconds.

(9) Should your app display an error during the completion process:
